Ocean Park’s main space features a living room aesthetic inside of a traditional studio live room. That said, there is ample space to accommodate full band tracking sessions while retaining the comfort, and warmth of the room.

Our live room boasts 48 mic lines/returns, an array of top of the line guitar amplifiers and speaker cabinets, a raised stage for drums or vocals, a self-playing MIDI ready Kawaii G2 grand piano, a beautiful Lipinski 5.1 speaker system…
…and a whiskey bar.

With tie lines running between all three rooms in our studio, furniture that can easily be moved aside to clear the center of the live room, and a 12 foot wide motorized drop-down movie screen (with accompanying 4K projector), you can do anything and everything you might need for a music, post, or multimedia project; all in one space.

Adjacent to the principal control room at Ocean Park lies The Red Room. With a Twin Peaks aesthetic, world class boutique synthesizer collection, vocal booth (accompanied by a phenomenal vocal chain), and robust electric guitar rigs, this is a production room that truly can’t be matched.

Available to clients of Ocean Park’s main room for a small additional fee, renting this powerhouse of a room represents the addition of a great many fantastic workflow possibilities to your studio time. Mic, speaker, and instrument tie-lines run from this room into the Live and Control rooms of the primary recording space, giving an inherently interconnected, big-session-ready toolkit at the fingertips off any engineer or producer.

The intention of this studio design is to provide multiple producers, engineers, or band members with the ability to work independently on different songs (or projects) simultaneously; then seamlessly join up in either room to listen to what each other is working on all with the push of a button.

The Red Room empowers our clients with two fully interconnected, exceedingly well equipped, high end production work spaces, perfect for large single artist sessions, song-writing camps, or production teams.

Located in prime downtown Santa Monica, Ocean Park Recording sits a literal 2 minute walk away from a view overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the Pacific Coast Highway.

Surrounded by fantastic restaurants, a bevy of well appointed hotels, blocks away from 3rd street Promenade in one direction, and a 10 minute skip down to the beach in the other; whatever you’re looking for will always been within arms reach at Ocean Park.
